Working on my art journals has been really fun. Learning new things and playing with new tools all the time. Finding my grove and going with the flow watching lots of things on line and taking workshops, have helped a lot. Pushing myself. Going out of my box and creating what I see or just making it up as I go along. It has been very freeing, doing art that is for me, all about me. And I don’t have to care if anyone likes it, because it is me!

Don’t forget to smile!

So lately I have been immersing myself with art, and anything and everything to make art.

Mod podge, gesso and my hair drier = love

I have recently taken the plunge to take an online course. I was doing the Strathmore workshops, so much fun! But I wanted MORE!!
There is a wonderfully creative lady that I follow her every post! Her name is Christy Tomlinson and I am just in love with her art! She has so many workshops and I have always wanted to take one but something always stops me. Money mostly I suppose, but I am an excuse maker, so that probably has a lot to do with it as well.
But when she announced this new workshop, I knew that I just had, HAD to take it. She was giving a discount for early registrations and we had a little extra this month. GST= So I went for it! I am so exited for it, I cannot wait.
I will explain more about the class another day but for today I wanted to show you some of the things that have been keeping me up at night! ……seriously sometimes till 1 am!!
Hope you enjoy :)

Love this painting, it is for sale, $30.00 Canadian
If you are afraid to do somthing just do it, and you wont be any more♥

Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?
.
Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?

Student : Absolutely, sir.

Professor : Is GOD good ?

Student : Sure.

Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?

Student : Yes.

Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent.)

Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Is satan good ?

Student : No.

Professor: Where does satan come from ?

Student : From … GOD …

Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?

Student : Yes.

Professor: So who created evil ?

(Student did not answer.)

Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, who created them ?

(Student had no answer.)

Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?

Student : No, sir.

Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?

Student : No , sir.

Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?

Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Professor: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

Professor: Yes.

Student : No, sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theater became very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class was in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

Hello Everyone!

I am back and I am so sorry for being gone so very long. I have been dealing with a lot in my life and fighting against many demons and I am sure my fight is not over yet. I have been going through personal changes and spiritual changes, all for the best!
I have been listening to K Love! Thank you to everyone who recommended this station to me♥ I have been creating most of my art when listening to this station. It’s like I get and angel of art come down to me and just moves that brush or pencil and I go crazy!
I couple weeks ago I was put on the spot by someone very close to me and it stopped me in my tracks and made me think. I was talking to ‘her’ –no names- and I was talking about going to church and this crazy journey that I am on right now trying to figure out who I am and who I am living for. And her comment was “well you’re only doing this so you have something to talk about on your blog”

….silence…

I am not sure what I should say to that, I just kind of laughed it off and made a joke. But it really hit me, ‘is that what is really going through your head?’ I was just at a loss for words.

So the past few weeks I have been trying to find the ‘real’ me.

Who am I?

I am I this person that just talks the talk and doesn’t do anything about it.

Search for the answer and it will find you…. Yes

The answer was yes.

It takes more than one day to change and be changed, but you know what, God is working in me and he never leads you on the path most traveled. He is going to lead you through the swamp and thorns and push you, but do you know what happens to you in the end? You become stronger. He pushes you until you fall on your knees and realize how strong he is. The path is sometimes hard but if you stick it out you will be stronger for it.
I have been going to bible studying, learning and hanging out with other christians, and it has been amazing! I have it marked on my calendar and I try to never miss one, the people are great and Pastor B. is wonderful. I have been Volunteering with the church and getting invloved in the community. I have been doing great at work, and I just feel amazing!
I have been drawing again, and painting again. I have been just being so creative and it has been amazing! I have so many pictures and fun things planned for this wonderful blog of mine.

Because it is mine!

I can write about anything that I want, or talk about anything I want. Because it is MINE! And I want to share it with the world.

It’s like my faith, it is mine but I want to share HIS love with everyone. I am not doing this to be praised, I am not doing this for my own personal gain, I am doing this to praise GOD. Following the path that he has laid out for me, I am here to praise him.

I don’t care if no one reads my blog; I don’t care if no one takes anything from it. But out of the 10 that don’t care, there is just 1 that needed to hear what I had to say.

If you never try you will never succeed.

If you do not feel the sadness you will take the joy for granted.

I have found myself through Christ my savor and I will not stand back and do nothing. In bible study tonight we talked about Acts 8. Some people just need it explained to them, they don’t need to be preached at or judged, they just need someone to listen to them and teach them.
The devil is always trying to move in and discourage you, but you have to be strong and willing to take the ‘hit’ for what you believe in.

A group of archaeological students become trapped in the past when they go there to retrieve their professor. The group must survive in 14th century France long enough to be rescued.

I really enjoyed this movie a lot. It is full of adventure, as well as archaeology. I love history and knowing things about the past. My favorite is Arthur! Anything to do with the Arthurian era I am so fascinated by it.

Anyway back to the movie, haha. It is fun and funny, great for the whole family!

I give it 5 stars!

If you have seen it, leave me a comment about what you thought about it, or if you decide to watch it, let me know :)

Soul Surfer

A teenage surfer girl summons the courage to go back into the ocean after losing an arm in a shark attack.
This movie was amazing! I have to say I cried almost the whole time! The story is so amazing, and what makes it better is that it is a true story. I am a sucker for good true stories, as often as possible ;)
The journey that Bethany goes though really hits home with me and becoming a new christen. And finding my path and realizing there is a bigger picture and only God can see the whole frame. Obviously I didn’t have my arm bitten of the message this movie give is amazing.
I give this movie a strong 5 out of 5 Stars! I also got my sister to watch it, it is a family film and can be enjoyed by anyone.

I was going through my photos and organizing some of them…and I knew that I just had to share some of them with you…

However, I was reading one of my favorite blogs tonight {LMM} and I found this post I totally fell in love with it.

It’s about all the things that make ME, or anyone else who blogs, a blogger. So I thought that I would share my photos with you as I write out my list. The photos probably won’t make sense with what lam saying, but hope you enjoy them all the same.

You know you’re a blogger when…

You always ask yourself “will this make a good blog post?” before you do anything.

You know you’re a blogger when…

You talk about your “internet friends” to your boyfriend more than your real friends.

You know you’re a blogger when…

As soon as you get home you log on to blogger and check if you have comments.

You know you’re a blogger when…

You feel bad about missing a day.

You know you’re a blogger when…

You have photo folders filled with random photos that, you may or may not have, taken just because you thought one of your followers would like it.

You know you’re a blogger when…

You feel the need to take Photos of everything you eat.

You know you’re a blogger when…

You would never dream of stopping.

I found this artical and i just had to share it. The internet is often used for bad things, as you can tell by what happened to this boy. But it is also a great tool. For bloggers or friends trying to stay in touch! Check it out it is amazing!!

Boy in England has a Newmarket teen and the Internet to thank for his life

by Monica Bugajski
A 14-year-old girl in Newmarket knew a cry for help when she heard one and managed to save a 16-year-old boy's life all the way in England.

For thousands, the Internet has become a place to form friendships with people that they may never meet in person. For others, it is a place to torment those they won't ever have to see. Though all 14-year-old Paige Dayal knew about Luke was his name, she was particularly unsettled by the comments on his Tumblr account one night and decided she had to reach out a helping hand.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Tumblr, it's a blogging platform that allows users to share photos, audio, video, and any opinions they may have. Tumblr users can follow one another and comment on each other's posts. Paige had 600 followers on her Tumblr account, and Luke was one of them.

On February 7, a despondent Luke made a post in which he said that he didn't have any friends and that everyone hated him. His blog was bombarded by hate comments telling him that he was worthless and that he should end his life.

Paige read the post and comments, and after Luke stopped posting, she had an irksome feeling that he was perhaps going to do something drastic. Only knowing that Luke lived in England, Paige called the police and the RCMP. When they said they couldn't help, she did some online sleuthing and found Luke's town. She was able to contact the central police in the Bath region, who arrived at Luke's house just in time. The 16-year-old boy had swallowed 36 pills and had to be rushed to the emergency room.

Had Paige not acted on her concern, Luke may not have made it through the night, and though it isn't the first of its kind, the incident reminds us that people really can affect one another's lives, regardless of the platform through which they interact.

Paige's mother believes the most important lesson here is that "one person can make a difference" in someone's life, and she's absolutely right. The Internet just allows that impact to happen quicker and from anywhere and everywhere. Though it seems amazing that Paige was able to hear Luke's cry for help all the way across the ocean, she was very much a part of his world. Every time he got on his computer, he had access to her thoughts and posts, and she to his. So it seems natural that she should step in when he needed help, the only thing is, she was the only one who actually did something. Yes, others offered support. For all the negative comments he got, Luke received hundreds of encouraging ones. But Paige is unique in that she had the sense to take her support offline and into the real world. She can honestly say that she played a key role in saving this boys life.
Though Luke is doing better, he knows he has a rough journey to recovery ahead. On his Tumblr he posted, "I am so grateful to the girl in Canada who rang the police. Seriously I LOVE YOU," and those who love him are grateful as well.

I have been working on so many different things this week I feel that I am just not getting anything done. Do you ever have days like that?? I am so busy already doing….well what I am I doing…

I am trying to be more creative and work on my art, and I love it. But I lose track of time like no one’s business. So in turn I have been losing sleep.
Which isn’t good for the job part of my day… :(
But I hope to share some pictures with you soon. That’s the problem with working on so many things at once. Nothing is done.
I hope everyone is having a good week, and I will talk to you soon!

Hello Everyone

I wanted to show you some of the things I have been working on the past few days. I found this amazing work shop sight though a blog that I follow!.

Strathmore online workshops, and right now I am doing a 4 week workshop with Traci Bautista and it’s called Doodles unleashed. Find out more!!

So far I have been having an amazing time, creating and moving out of my box and learning new things. Right now I am working on week one, Playful Print Making. It has been so much fun learning and creating, and finding my grove again.

The workshops are in video form and there are written instructions as well. She is very though and explains the process very well.

The first one didn’t turn out very good, in my mind. My honey really liked it. So I wanted to try again, now that I didn’t follow along with the video. I just turned up the music and let my hands be free, and it turned out really cool. And James Bond liked it so much he had to join in the fun!! Got to love my kitten.

Hope you enjoy the pictures!

I give this movie 4 Stars

Story line:  Set during World War II, a story seen through the innocent eyes of Bruno, the eight-year-old son of the commandant at a concentration camp, whose forbidden friendship with a Jewish boy on the other side of the camp fence has startling and unexpected consequences.

This movie was very interesting to me. On the one hand I really liked it although it was sad, and on the other I found myself angry that this sort of thing used to happen. It makes me furious to come to the realization that this sort of thing used to happen and was thought to be normal.

This movie although its message very strong, fell a little short when it came to other things. I found the movie very slow, although you couldn’t get rid of any parts because everything said needed to be there. I just felt bored, until the end.

*Spoiler Alert*

I hated the ending, how he ended up dyeing. It was just not fair, I was hoping that his father was going to get to him in time, but I knew that he wouldn’t. It is a very tragic tale, and I more than likely will not watch it again just for that fact. It is too sad and to maddening, it is just too hard to deal with the fact that things like that happened.

As a new Christian I have had to be more creative in learning to give myself to the lord, giving him my problems so he can bare my stresses and make me free.

“Don’t worry about anything” Phil 4:6

Everyone keeps telling me to give it to the lord. But I don’t know how to do that.
So being the crafter that I am I have created a box. So I can write down my troubles, worries or prayers and give them to him, by putting them in the box.

I think that it will help me to feel more connected to him and to lift all this worry away. I always feel awkward because if someone is here then I feel that it might be weird or even my honey; I know he doesn’t want to hear it. So this will fix that problem too!

Did anyone else have trouble praying when they first started? I am still finding it awkward to be talking to the wall…
