The Temptations
You know what one of the hardest things about going on this real food journey…the temptations. The cute cookies, the chocolate cakes and bakery treats. You see them everywhere and man do they ever smell so good. It takes so much will power to turn away and most days my 'will power' is already over there licking the icing.

I haven’t eaten Mc D’s in well over 4 months, so for me to have this craving, it wasn’t just a ‘well I could have one’ my stomach was like ‘WE ARE HAVING ONE.’ The kind of cravings that take over your whole body and you can’t think about anything else….

Working on my art journals has been really fun. Learning new things and playing with new tools all the time. Finding my grove and going with the flow watching lots of things on line and taking workshops, have helped a lot. Pushing myself. Going out of my box and creating what I see or just making it up as I go along. It has been very freeing, doing art that is for me, all about me. And I don’t have to care if anyone likes it, because it is me!

lately I have been immersing myself with art, and anything and everything to
make art.

I
have recently taken the plunge to take an online course. I was doing the Strathmore
workshops, so much fun! But I wanted MORE!!
There
is a wonderfully creative lady that I follow her every post! Her name is
Christy Tomlinson and I am just in love with
her art! She has so many
workshops and I have always wanted to take one but something always stops me.
Money mostly I suppose, but I am an excuse maker, so that probably has a lot to
do with it as well.
But
when she announced this new workshop, I knew that I just had, HAD to take
it. She was giving
a discount for early registrations and we had a little extra this month. GST=♥ So I went for it! I
am so exited for it, I cannot wait.
I
will explain more about the class another day but for today I wanted to show you some
of the things that have been keeping me up at night! ……seriously sometimes till
1 am!!

Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?
Student : Yes.
Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?
(Student was silent.)
Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Is satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor: Where does satan come from ?
Student : From … GOD …
Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student : Yes.
Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Professor: So who created evil ?
(Student did not answer.)
Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, who created them ?
(Student had no answer.)
Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?
Student : No, sir.
Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?
Student : No , sir.
Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.
Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.
Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Professor: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Professor: Yes.
Student : No, sir. There isn’t.
(The lecture theater became very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)
Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?
Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, well you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?
Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.
Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?
Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?
(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)
Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class was in uproar.)
Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?
(The class broke out into laughter. )
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)
Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.
Student : That is it sir … Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

Hello
Everyone!
I
am back and I am so sorry for being gone so very long. I have been dealing with
a lot in my life and fighting against many demons
and I am sure my fight is not over yet. I have been going through personal
changes and spiritual changes, all for the best!
I
have been listening to K Love!
Thank you to everyone who recommended this station to me♥ I have been
creating most of my art when listening to this station. It’s like I get and
angel of art come down to me and just moves that brush or pencil and I go
crazy!
I
couple weeks ago I was put on the spot by someone very close to me and it stopped me
in my tracks and
made me think. I was talking to ‘her’ –no names- and I was talking about going
to church and this crazy journey that I am on right now trying to figure out
who I am and who I am living for. And her comment was “well you’re
only doing this so you have something to talk about on your blog”
….silence…
I
am not sure what I should say to that, I just kind of laughed it off and made a
joke. But it really hit me, ‘is that what is really going
through your head?’ I was just at a loss for words.
So
the past few weeks I have been trying to find the ‘real’ me.
Who am I?
I am I this
person that just talks the talk and doesn’t do anything about it.
Search for
the answer and it will find you…. Yes
The answer
was yes.
It
takes more than one day to change and be changed, but you know what, God is
working in me and he never leads you on the path most traveled. He is going to
lead you through the swamp and thorns and push you, but do you know what happens
to you in the end? You become stronger. He pushes you until you fall on your knees and realize
how strong he is. The path is sometimes hard but if you stick it out you will
be stronger for it.
I
have been going to bible studying, learning and hanging out with other christians,
and it has been amazing! I have it marked on my calendar and I try to never
miss one, the people are great and Pastor B. is wonderful. I have been Volunteering with the church and getting invloved in the community. I have been doing great at work, and I just feel amazing!
I
have been drawing again, and painting again. I have been just being so creative
and it has been amazing! I have so many pictures and fun things planned for
this wonderful blog of mine.
Because it is mine!
I
can write about anything that I want, or talk about anything I want. Because it
is MINE! And I want to share it with the world.
It’s
like my faith, it is mine but I want to share HIS love with everyone. I am not
doing this to be praised, I am not doing this for my own personal gain, I am
doing this to praise GOD. Following the path that he has laid out for me, I am
here to praise him.
I don’t care if no one reads my blog; I don’t care
if no one takes anything from it. But out of the 10 that don’t care, there is
just 1 that needed to hear what I had to say.
If you never try you will never succeed.
If you do not feel the sadness you will take the joy
for granted.
I
have found myself through Christ my savor and I will not stand back and do
nothing. In bible study tonight we talked about Acts 8. Some people just need
it explained to them, they don’t need to be preached at or judged, they just
need someone to listen to them and teach them.
The devil is always trying to move in and discourage you, but you have to
be strong and willing to take the ‘hit’ for what you believe in.
